On 14 December, Mrs. Song Yuyan, Director of the Secretariat of the Green Partnership of Industrial Parks in China (GPIPC), met with European experts Mr. Guido D. Giacconi, Founder of In3Act Global, and Mr. Massimo Bagnasco, Partner and Director of Pogetter Architects & Consultants Ltd. Mr. Guido D. Giacconi and Mr. Massimo Bagnasco are both Vice Chairmen of the European Chamber of Commerce in China.
The exchange focused on carbon certification standards for European enterprises in China, sustainable development solutions for parks, international cooperation on park construction, green technology introduction and investment in China, and other issues from the perspectives of both China and Europe, including analysis of the current policy situation, exchange of enterprise demands under the dual carbon target, discussion on promoting green technology implementation and attracting foreign investment in parks.
Director Song Yuyan and the two European experts agreed that decarbonisation is closely related to each party, that green technology exchange and sharing should be brought into full play and that all stakeholders, including governments, parks, think tanks and enterprises, should work more closely together at both central and local levels to promote the development and implementation of solutions. In the future, GPIPC and its European partners will play their respective strengths to help Chinese industrial parks achieve carbon neutrality.
